Established entirely in 2025, the forest was planted using tree stocks sourced from local nursery Kauri Park, with establishment carried out by Far North Forestry. ETS eligibility and application were managed by the team at Forever Forests. The land was originally identified by its local owners for its favourable attributes for commercial forestry, including moderate contours and low to moderate erosion risk, optimising the future harvest prospects of the forest (including potential production thinning).

In addition to the planted area, Paradise includes more than five hectares reserved for future mānuka establishment. Existing native bush areas offer a natural seed source for potential riparian planting, supporting increased biodiversity across the property.
