NZF Aggregation - Northland & Taranaki
- Address State Highway 14, Tangiteroria, Northland
- Sales Method Deadline Sale
- Type Forestry
- Area 2031 ha approx.
The NZF Aggregation comprises six established forests located across the Northland and Southern North Island wood supply regions of New Zealand. Totalling approximately 2,031 hectares of freehold land (subject to subdivision) to remove dwellings, the aggregation features first and second rotation forest land, mixed age woodlots, and plantings of indigenous and other minor species.
A combined area of approximately 1,590 hectares is either registered in the New Zealand Emissions Trading Scheme (ETS) or has applications lodged pending approval, with registration intended to transfer upon settlement, further derisking the investment proposition. The landholdings have favourable attributes for production forestry including easy to moderate contour, low to moderate ESC, and proximity to key infrastructure such as public roads, domestic processors, and export ports.
The vendor entities are aligned under a single experienced forest manager, with one owner accounting for >1,200ha of the NSA, and are jointly bringing this opportunity to market to meet investor demand for scale and quality. Complementing the forests’ commercial strengths are areas of regenerating and old-growth native forest, as well as several ecologically significant wetlands, adding natural capital value and potential for biodiversity-linked co-benefits.
Key Features Include:
- Six forests and separate historic quarry title;
- Sought after Northland (5) and SNI (1) woodflow regions;
- 2,031ha* freehold land (S.T.S), 1,702ha* NSA (including 2025 planting);
- 1,589ha** post-1989 land (registered and application pending);
- Predominantly 2023-2025, areas of mixed age woodlots;
- Significant carbon sequestration profile (peaking at more than 100,000* NZUs in 2032, and cumulative projected total > 995K NZUs);
- Proximity to processing, ports and transport infrastructure;
- Biodiversity enhancement opportunities.
